Data deletion

How to delete your data from TinyLamp Games, including Wordwhim.

Draft. This page is still being reviewed and may change before our games launch.

Last updated: 23 September 2026

This page explains how to delete your data from games made by TinyLamp Games, including Wordwhim. Our games don’t use accounts, so there is no account to close. Most of your data lives on your own device, and you can remove the rest by asking us.

Delete your game progress

Your progress, settings and purchases unlocked in the game are stored on your device. To delete them:

  • Android: open Settings → Apps → [game name] → Storage, then tap Clear data. Uninstalling the game also removes it.
  • iPhone and iPad: delete the game from your home screen. This removes its data from your device.

Purchases you’ve made can be restored later through Google Play or the App Store, because the stores keep their own record of them.

Request deletion of other data

Our games may send device, usage, crash and advertising information to us and to our service providers, as described in our privacy policy. To ask us to delete it, email tinylampgames@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion request” and include:

  • the name of the game;
  • whether you play on Android, iPhone or iPad;
  • roughly when you played;
  • the player ID, if the game shows one in its settings.

Because our games don’t have accounts, this information helps us find the data linked to your device. Please don’t send passwords, payment details or identity documents. We will never ask for them.

What happens next

  1. We’ll reply to confirm we’ve received your request, and may ask a question if we need more detail to find your data.
  2. We’ll delete the data we hold that is linked to you, and ask our analytics and advertising partners to do the same.
  3. We’ll let you know when it’s done, usually within 30 days.

Some copies may remain in secure backups for a short time, typically up to 90 days, before they are removed automatically.

What we delete, and what we keep

Deleted: usage and gameplay data, crash reports, advertising data linked to your device, and emails you’ve sent us.

Kept: records of in-app purchases that we are required to keep for tax and accounting purposes, for as long as the law requires. Purchase records held by Google Play or the App Store are managed by them. To delete those, see Google’s or Apple’s privacy settings.

You can also limit data yourself

  • Reset your advertising ID: on Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads) and delete or reset it. On iPhone and iPad, turn off app tracking in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. This breaks the link between your device and past advertising data.
  • Uninstall the game: this stops it from collecting any further information.
