TinyLamp Games (“TinyLamp”, “we”, “us”) is an independent game studio based in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. This policy explains what information we collect through our website and our games, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If you have any questions, see Contact us below.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to the TinyLamp Games website and to every game we publish, including Wordwhim, unless a game’s store listing points to a different policy. It does not cover third-party services we link to, such as the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store, which have their own privacy policies.

Our website

Our website is a simple, static site. It has no accounts and no advertising, and it does not set cookies. Its fonts and files are served from our own site.

Visitor statistics: we use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t collect personal information like your IP address for tracking, and doesn’t follow you across other websites. We only see totals, such as the number of visits to a page.

Like any website, the company that hosts it may automatically record basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you requested. This is used only to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Information our games collect

Our games do not require an account, and we do not ask for your name, address or phone number. Your game progress is stored on your device.

To run, improve and fund our games, they may collect the following:

• Device and usage information: your device model, operating system, language, app version, and how you use the game (for example, levels started and completed, and time played). This helps us understand what players enjoy and what needs improving.
• Crash and performance reports: technical details about errors and crashes, such as the state of the app and device when a problem happened, so we can fix bugs.
• Advertising information: some of our games show ads. Our advertising partners may collect your device’s advertising identifier, IP address, approximate location derived from your IP address, and information about the ads you see and interact with. This is used to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, measure ad performance and prevent fraud. Where the law requires it, we ask for your consent before showing personalised ads.
• Purchase information: in-app purchases are processed entirely by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never receive your payment card or bank details. We receive a record of the purchase, such as the item bought and whether the payment succeeded, so we can deliver what you paid for.
• Messages you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message.

How we use information

We use this information to:

• run our games and deliver the items you buy;
• find and fix bugs and crashes;
• understand how our games are played so we can improve them;
• show ads that help keep our games free to play;
• reply to your questions and support requests;
• prevent fraud and misuse, and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information for money.

Services we work with

We rely on trusted service providers to deliver parts of our games, and they process information on our behalf or as described in their own policies. These include:

• App stores (Google Play and the Apple App Store), for distribution and in-app purchases;
• Google AdMob, to show ads in our games;
• Analytics and crash-reporting services, to understand how our games perform;
• Website hosting and visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), to deliver this website and count visits.

We may also share information if we are required to by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our players, our studio or others.

Your choices

• Ad personalisation: you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads at any time. On Android, go to Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads). On iPhone and iPad, you can decide whether apps may track you in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. You will still see ads, but they will be less personalised.
• Consent: where we ask for your consent, you can withdraw it at any time through the game’s settings, where available, or by contacting us.
• Stopping collection: uninstalling a game stops it from collecting any further information.
• Your data: you can contact us to ask what information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted. See our data deletion page for details.

How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above. Analytics and crash data are kept for a limited period and are deleted or anonymised after that. Emails you send us are kept for as long as needed to help you, and then deleted. Information held by our service providers is kept in line with their own retention policies.

Children

Our games are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Keeping information safe

We use reasonable measures to protect the information we handle and choose service providers that do the same. No method of transmitting or storing data is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit what we collect in the first place.

International processing

We are based in India, and some of our service providers may process information in other countries. When that happens, we rely on those providers to protect your information in line with applicable law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal information. These can include the right to access it, correct it, delete it, withdraw consent, or object to certain uses. This includes rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), and California privacy laws.

To use any of these rights, or to raise a concern or complaint about how we handle your information, contact us. We aim to respond within 30 days. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our games and services change. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we will let players know through our games or this website.
